Nova Southeastern University in Ft. Lauderdale has a center devoted to "community mediation". See: Nova University Community Resolution Services . Judith McKay is director of that center; she is well known to Carol Spring of NCCJ in Broward County.

Betty Williams, Nobel Peace Prize Winner in 1976, Founder of the Northern Ireland Peace Movement (later renamed Community of Peace People), has been in southeast Florida in recent years and has had associations with FAU and with Nova SE University. I have been told she lives in Boca Raton. If we could find a way for her to be involved in "Towards a More Perfect Union", it might help ensure the sort of dialogue we want in public meetings (as well as providing insight and inspiration for us). I do not know how to contact her.
